To comprehensively enhance Strong Power manufacturing capabilities and quality consistency for recloser products—and to accelerate our response to the demands of smart distribution grid construction—Strong Power has invested in and commissioned a brand-new automatic recloser production line. This line is now fully operational, marking a significant milestone as our company reaches a new level of standardization, automation, and lean manufacturing in the recloser production sector.

Designed in strict accordance with international manufacturing standards for power transmission and distribution equipment, this newly commissioned production line integrates all core process stages, including assembly, commissioning, and testing. Aiming for “high precision, high reliability, and high flexibility,” the line specifically addresses critical issues inherent in traditional manufacturing—such as significant assembly errors, inconsistent product quality, and inefficient testing processes.

The production line operates on a collaborative model, combining automated conveyor systems with robotic workstations at key process points. Core manufacturing stages—including the assembly of vacuum interrupters, the installation of operating mechanisms, and the wiring of control circuits—are equipped with specialized tooling and semi-automated machinery, thereby effectively minimizing deviations caused by manual operations. Products flow automatically between workstations via an integrated conveyor system, while multiple in-line error-proofing and verification nodes are strategically positioned to ensure that the mechanical characteristics and electrical parameters of every recloser strictly adhere to design specifications.

To accommodate the diverse production requirements for reclosers across various voltage levels (12kV/27kV/38kV), operating mechanisms (spring-actuated/permanent magnet), and control modes, the production line features a flexible layout. When switching between production runs, only minor adjustments to specific tooling and testing parameters are required, enabling the rapid, simultaneous production of different product specifications on a single line. This capability significantly reduces lead times and effectively meets our customers’ diverse ordering requirements.
