Static Var Generator SVG is a product that improves the power factor and does not meet the standard. How Does SVG Work Principle?

The principle of SVG is very similar to that of active power filters, The SVG system, in parallel with the load, identifies inconsistencies in the current waveform and injects a controlled lagging or leading current in real time depending on the nature of the current inconsistency (capacitive or inductive). The effect of this real-time current injection is to align the phase angle waveforms of the current and voltage and help to achieve unity power factor in the electrical system. SVG can absorb or generate reactive power based on load reactive power or grid voltage levels by adjusting output voltage amplitude and phase Angle or directly controlling ac current.

Rack mounted modules are available in single module capacity from 30KVAR – 250KVAR, with unlimited parallel installation capability.
